My name is Ian Seaton and I am lucky enough to live in the beautiful Scottish Highlands.

I am also unlucky enough to have moved to a small house where my guitar collection takes up two rooms.

Hence this site, some might have to go...

I started playing guitar when I was 8 yrs old, 50 years ago. In that time I have played with some great people, some great and not so great bands, and generally just had a great time.

I have made many friends, seen many countries, played innumerable gigs, all in the pursuit of musical perfection.

10 years ago I realised there was no such thing and stopped looking.

Nowadays I am quite content to play when I am asked, but most of all look at the mountains with my lovely wife Annette.

I get a lot of mail from people wondering if me and my guitars really exist.
Well here is a wee photo of my good friend and fellow player -- The Internationally Renowned -- Chaz "the egg" Stewart getting torn into my 335.

Many people have written many kind words to me lately about "Southbound" who were, according to one fan "The best ******* band ever!" So, by public demand here is a picture from 1974 showing, from the left---Me, Billy Bryan, Brian Milligan, Ronnie Mills and the great Monty McGill. Here is a free bonus for all of you: It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago and Billy drove up to see me. We marked the occasion by going over to Watercolour Studios owned by my friends Nick Turner and his wife Mary Ann Kennedy, where we cut 4 tracks just to convince ourselves that we still could. In my opinion Billy Bryan is the best singer Scotland ever produced and here for you all are the 4 tracks we cut.
